Autism Friendly Notes & Second Hand Books for sale

Thank you for your patience as I continue to update this website. Discovering Super Powers is sometimes tiring.

More very important information to follow.

**Disclaimer** Barrie, my wonderful best friend of a partner, and myself, are not professionally trained in autism whatsoever. This blog is inspired from my own personal experience.**

**If you need help, please contact your doctor or medical professional. Alternatively, there is an excellent website, National Autistic Society via this link.**

I was professionally diagnosed by the NHS in 2022, at the age of 55. The diagnosis has literally changed my life. It has helped me in many ways to understand better and accept better why I do what I do, how I process life, and why my life struggles have been so vibrantly insane and yet wonderfully erratic.

I have been fortunate enough to have been offered support through a recent course led by specialist psychologists, where I met other amazing super-heroes.

So, this blog is about my personal experience (a personal diary) after being invited to attend this 6 week course in Lincoln. The blog is my own reflection of the course ...and an offer for you to connect and/or ask questions (I will do my best to answer, but not on a professional level).

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Psychological staff at Lincolnshire NHS who provided me with the opportunity to attend the course. Attending has helped me so much. And, an added bonus, I made some great friends who 'get me' and 'accept me for who I am', without judgment.

Perhaps this is a space for you to be freely you, without feeling judged, knowing I kind of 'get it', from a personal perspective.

So whether you feel vibrant colours so intensely you can or want to taste them. Have super structures to your day: they matter so much to you they are your law. Whether you achieve great things through focus (but forget to feed yourself in the meantime). Or maybe you can hear through walls (only kidding, but who know? We are all wonderfully different. Nothing would surprise me.) Maybe sometimes you know what people are going to say before they speak. Or maybe you have a yearning to go and live on a hill far away from too much noise and too many people.

Whatever your experience, please feel free to be you and share.

All my blogs are intended without judgment, and delivered through love, and respect,
