Process Honouring Development

What is Process-honouring Development?

We are unique human beings. No two people are exactly the same.

Many models, systems, and ways of working expect people to conform to a particular process. Too often, individuality is squeezed into an approach that is designed to suit everyone, but does not truly honour and acknowledge the unique person - you. You may have hear the saying of trying to fit a 'square peg into a round hole',  That is not how we work at Busy Corner Books. Your authentic self is important.

At Busy Corner Books, we believe you should be provided with the opportunity to be empowered within your own personality. Everyone is made differently, and it is often through recognising this when we begin to discover our gifts, our strengths, and, our deeper sense of purpose. Often called discerning our gifts. Yes, we are made up from our life experiences, the people we have spent time with, our environment and grown/instilled beliefs. However, we are so much more, and use such a small amount of our capacity.

Using therapeutic reflective process writing as a tool, we aim to support you in experiencing your own process, rather than forcing you into a planned or pre-supposed way of working. This means creating a safe space for your growth, your reflection, your honesty, your acknowledgement; and your movement, at a pace where respect meets who you are. Our hope is to help you process your experiences, grow in self-understanding, and move forward with greater independence and confidence. Often called 'discerning your path.'

...where respect meets who you are.

Whether you are a writer, an author, someone exploring writing for the first time, or someone seeking a new way to understand your direction in life, you are welcome to begin where you are and see where the journey leads...

In my work with others, I have seen people make progress in their manuscripts and complete them; work through blocked feelings; use writing for the first time to reach deeper emotions; explore new genres and achieve publication; develop personal journals; write deep and meaningful poetry; go on to win awards for their work, and discover more about themselves and their abilities.

Most of all, this is the heart of our work at Writing Well: help people embrace their own process and transition. Therefore, grow in authenticity through congruence. There is something deeply life-giving about becoming more real, more honest, and more grounded in who you truly are. It can feel like returning to your roots and receiving the gift of your purpose afresh, a present version of who you are and where you are going in life.

So whether you are seeking growth in faith and spiritual formation, or simply longing to strengthen a part of yourself that has felt dampened or overlooked, you are welcome here just as you are. You will be treated with respect, dignity, and honour.

All the very best,
