Refund and Cancellation Policy

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

In line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, participants have a 14-day cooling-off period for online bookings unless:

  • The service takes place within those 14 days, and

  • The participant has requested the service to begin immediately and agreed that their cancellation rights are waived once delivery begins.

If the service has been delivered, refunds are not available.

Payment processing fees are non-refundable.

2. Participant Cancellations (Individuals)

If a participant cancels:

  • More than 14 days before the event: Full refund (minus processing fees).

  • 7–14 days before the event: 50% refund.

  • Less than 7 days before the event: No refund.

Places may be transferred to another person with prior agreement.

Once course materials have been issued or mentoring preparation has begun, refunds are not normally available.

3. Short-Notice Mentoring & Manuscript Reviews

For written feedback, 1:1 mentoring, or manuscript review services:

Payment is required in advance.

Due to the immediate allocation of preparation time, these services are non-refundable once work has commenced.

Where a service is requested within the 14-day cooling-off period, written confirmation will be obtained acknowledging that cancellation rights are waived once delivery begins.

4. Organisational & Invoiced Bookings

Workshops and services booked by organisations are confirmed via written agreement by email.

Invoices are payable within 30 days of delivery unless otherwise agreed.

If an organisation cancels:

  • More than 14 days before delivery: No charge.

  • 7–14 days before delivery: 50% of agreed fee.

  • Less than 7 days before delivery: Full fee payable. This is because the preparation for the event will be complete by this date.

If Busy Corner Books must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.
