Refund & Cancellation Policy

Busy Corner Books

Busy Corner Books operates on a professional booking basis. Time reserved for individual sessions, workshops, courses, and programmes includes preparation, planning, and the blocking of diary space that cannot be reallocated at short notice.

For this reason, the following cancellation terms apply.

1. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed when:

• Payment has been received; or

• A written agreement or invoice has been accepted.

Once confirmed, the agreed date and time are reserved exclusively and this policy applies. These terms form part of the contractual arrangement.

2. Individual Sessions & Mentoring

Time allocated for 1:1 sessions is protected and preparation may begin in advance.

• More than 72 hours (3 days) notice – Full refund or rescheduling available.

• 72 hours or less notice – No refund.

• Failure to attend without notice – Full session fee payable.

Rescheduling within 72 hours is treated as a cancellation.

Emergency Circumstances

In cases of genuine emergency (such as sudden illness, accident, or bereavement), discretion may be exercised.

Reasonable evidence may be requested.

Any decision to waive or adjust fees remains at the sole discretion of Busy Corner Books.

3. Workshops (Organisations & Corporate Clients)

Workshop bookings involve advance preparation, scheduling commitments, and the reservation of delivery time.

The following terms apply:

• More than 7 days before the agreed delivery date – 25% of the full agreed workshop fee is payable.

• 7 days or fewer before delivery – 50% of the full agreed workshop fee is payable.

• Less than 72 hours before delivery – 100% of the full agreed workshop fee is payable.

The percentage payable is calculated against the full agreed workshop fee.

Postponements requested within 7 days of the delivery date are treated as cancellations. The applicable cancellation fee will apply, and any new date will require a new booking agreement.

Internal scheduling issues, staffing changes, or organisational errors do not alter these terms.

4. Courses & Group Programmes

Places on courses are limited and preparation begins prior to commencement.

• More than 7 days before start date – Full refund.

• 3–6 days before start date – 50% refund.

• Less than 3 days before start date – No refund.

• Once a course has commenced – fees are non-refundable.

5. Cancellation by Busy Corner Books

If Busy Corner Books needs to cancel or reschedule a booking, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

Liability is limited to the fee paid.

6. Cancellation Procedure

All cancellations must be made in writing via email to:

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7–14 working days.
